Zanacco at LFW S/S11, Day 1

On our first day of LFW S/S11 we headed off to the Prophetik show that took place at Vauxhall Fashion Scout. Prophetik pays tribute to the greener garcon by using homegrown materials, recycled fabrics and organic dyes. In a recent article in Whole Life Magazine Prophetik’s front-man Jeff Garner says about his 8- year line  “Prophetik came about after a vision to do something different in the industry and to showcase how to do things more positively”

Prophetik’s show was organised by Forward PR and styled by Rebekah Roy

Following on from Prophetik the Zanacco team made its way to Somerset House where we enjoyed scouting the finely dressed.

Aaron Hales writes about Zanacco

Aaron Hales is the editor of The Montebury, an online magazine dedicated to interviewing the world of fashion. In an article titled ‘Sustainable Luxury for Men’ Mr Hales pays tribute to Zanacco’s ability to personify the unique blend of luxury and sustainable fashion. Mr Hales says ZANACCO is a new brand, but definitely one to watch out for. They provide a beautiful colour and style range which comes with enough green credentials to take away the guilt of buying the entire collection. That is not all though. In his article Mr Hales refers to the fact that Zanacco shares manufacturers with the likes of Tom Ford, Zegna and Fratelli Rosetti. Undeniably Zanacco places itself alongside these fashion household names.

Mr Hales, an established fashion insider and personality selected his favourite Zanaccos. To find out which these are please click here.

‘Shoes’: The Musical

No stage so far has been  dedicated solely to the celebration of clothes, garments and accessories but it make sense that when this actually did happen shoes were the first to receive this form of celebration.

And, indeed Sadler’s Wells recent show named Shoes pays tribute to the 21st century’s style makers or style breakers. “Inspired by one of the great passions of the modern age, Shoes explores the gamut of footwear, from the highs of the Louboutin to the lows of the Croc. Composed by Richard Thomas, in his first large-scale production since the legendary West End and Broadway hit Jerry Springer – The Opera, Shoes features 32 toe-tappingly catchy, footwear-inspired song and dance numbers – and sees life told from street-level perspective with wit, irreverence and affection.”

“Performing in over 250 pairs of shoes, the cast of 12 dancers includes So You Think You Can Dance’s Chloe Campbell, Mandy Montanez and Drew McOnie, plus Zoonation’s Teneisha Bonner, and Aaron Sillis, winner of the South Bank Show Breakthrough award for his role in Matthew Bourne’s Dorian Gray.”

‘Shoes‘ is playing at Sadler’s Wells from the 3rd to the 11th of September. If you are thinking of attending we suggest you wear a pair of two-tone Ducale Nero/Frond, afterall two-tones are such an integrated style feature of dance and music movements!

Ross Hancock

Zanacco bumped into Ross  Hancock at Wolf & Badger where Zanacco A/W10 is currently being stocked. Ross’ outstanding fashion sense has seen him feature in a slew of publications. For the Zanacco blog Ross chose to pose in front of Zanacco‘s very own display at Wolf Badger. Ross embodies the modern dandy style by paying tribute to classic tailoring whilst adding a little umph to his outfit with a contemporary accessory, most times a funky tie, a hat, or an umbrella.

Ross Hancock Profile: London; Fashion Designer/ Tailor; A self- proclaimed modern day dandy

Style elements: Umbrellas from James Smith, London’s oldest umbrella makers (previous customers included Gladstone, Bonar Law and Lord Curzon). Zanacco‘s favourite James Smith umbrella is the ‘classic city’ coupled with the Whangee Cane Handle. For the final touch opt for Zanacco‘s classic Ducale Nero/ Frond shoes.

Zanacco shoes are currently stocked in London at Wolf & Badger and Eterno, in Windsor at John Goodwin and in Copenhagen at Bien Cache.

James Smith is currently located at 53 New Oxford Street,London, WC1A 1BL

Zanacco at Wolf & Badger

As of August Zanacco A/W 2010 collection is stocked at the exclusive concept store Wolf & Badger in Notting Hill. Zanacco celebrated this at  Wolf & Badger’s summer party that took place on the 4th of August. Here is a picture of our shoes diplayed in a prominent position in the store!

Needless to say London’s most stylish flocked to the scene. Zanacco liked Sibyl& co, Ross Hancock and Anne Look of stylist and the city.

At Wolf & Badger, embrassing the eco- luxury ethos with us were AraVore, designers who use organic merino wool and fair organic cotton, and Samuel Gassman, an art historian come cufflinks’ designer. Zanacco suggests combining Samuel Gassman with Zanacco shoes for the complete high- brow look.

Jasmine Zanacco

Jasmine Zanacco is an Italian shoe designer and the founder of the Zanacco brand. Jasmine’s hometown Vigevano, follows a strong tradition in shoe making. ‘It is there where I received my first tastings of fashion and design’ says Jasmine. ‘I wanted to create a brand that expressed my heritage but at the same time responded to contemporary lifestyles. Zanacco is the culmination of these desires.’

Launched in 2009 Zanacco is an eco-luxury brand that caters to men. Its core offer is centered around footwear made 100% in Vigevano, the historical capital of Italian shoe making. Leather accessories, bags and belts compliment this focused yet rich and luxurious collection. At the heart of the brand lies the conviction that today’s luxury brands should respond to the social conscience of the elite luxury consumer whilst living up to their luxury expectations. Zanacco does exactly this: it combines exquisite designs with eco- friendly material, all the time remaining loyal to the Italian shoe making tradition.

Ducale Nero/Frond is a classic shoe design that incorporates a contemporary twist. The two tone effect adds a slightly dandyish sensation to the shoe.’ Ducale Nero/Frond is Zanacco’s Autumn/ Winter 2010 best seller. Duomo Frond is another favourite. The shoes exemplify how outstanding Italian craftsmanship can elevate sneakers to a luxury status.

Zanacco shoes are stocked in London at Wolf & Badger and Eterno, in Windsor at John Goodwin and in Copenhagen at Bien Cache.
